Ann started sewing on her mother’s lap at the ripe old age of 2.  From then on, she went to many 4H courses: sewing, cooking and gardening.  After high school the transition was to college in the Fashion and Design and Technique Course, minoring in machine knitting, and furriers machine.

Stepping from college into the retail market, Ann worked for a number of years in retail before making the decision of open a store…in one week!  Definitely not advisable in this day and age. Through the years, customer service has been the true mission of the store.

Ann would like to personally thank you for your following. Forty years ago, Ann opened as Ann’s Fabrics, adding sewing machines, classes, alterations and custom sewing. As Stouffville kept growing, so did Ann’s.  Soon, the simple fabric store moved and became Ann’s Fabrics & Sewing Center.

Beginner to Advanced, and special one-time classes, we have a class for every skill level! Classes are updated for every season!  Full class listing are included in our Newsletter (on our home page).
