Big Papa Hoovs specializes in handmade home decor items using barn board and assorted reclaimed lumber. The Reclaimed Nest is the name of his showroom where you can come and peruse the latest items. Occasionally he opens it up for a “Pop-Up Sale”, but if you want to stop by to have a look, please contact him to arrange a time.

Every Piece has a Story – from selecting the right board, to the final brand. “Our little business simply started out by building a birdhouse for my wife Jeni, and thanks to social media, seven years later we’re still creating unique handcrafted pieces. The backbone of our creations comes from reclaimed lumber which includes (but is not limited to) barn board and pallet wood. We have also built items from repurposing old furniture such as dining tables, chairs, dressers, and even vintage upright pianos! Local “Tobacco Sticks” and rescued snow fences have also worked their way into our items. We have a lot of our old favourites in our product line but are always ready to try out some brand-new ideas.”
